Dr. David Dean M.D.
Dr. Dean has been in practice for nearly 20 years and enjoys helping patients of all ages. He attended medical school at University of Pittsburgh and completed his residency in central Washington. He is certified with the American Board of Family Medicine.
Dr. David Dean joined Minit-Medical in September 2012. He has worked in Alaska, California, Idaho, Oklahoma, Utah & Washington but loves living permanently now on Maui and plans to stay. He appreciates the variety of urgent care and family practice, caring for island residents & visitors alike.
Outside the office, hobbies include hiking, racquet sports, and aquatic activities; most recently trying his hand at stand-up paddling.
Dr. Mary Ann Hollman
Occupational Medicine and Urgent Care
After having received a B.S. in Biology and an M.S. in Medical Genetics, Dr. Hollman then graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine with her M.D. Following residency training in St. Louis she began her medical career as a Family Physician. With an interest in Occupational Medicine Dr. Hollman soon developed expertise in this specialty and obtained many supporting certifications in order to better serve Clients. Over the last 18 years she has dedicated her career to the practice of Clinical Medicine, development of Occupational Medicine programs for a variety of Clients (local, regional, and national), providing Consultant to Client Companies with questions or projects, and serving as Medical Advisor to a Federal Agency.
Dr. Hollman is a member of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (and both the Public Safety and Transportation Sections) the International Association of the Chiefs of Police, National Fire Protection Association, and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners Board of Registry. Examples of Occupational Medicine services she can provide include: work-related periodic and surveillance physicals, injury care, OSHA surveillance exams, Client company Medical Advisor services, Impairment Ratings, FMCSA/DOT exams, on-site programs, and Respirator Use clearance exams.
Dr. Michael Jackowitz D.O.
Dr. Jackowitz received his undergraduate degree from Emory University (Atlanta, GA) and his medical degree from NOVA University (Miami, FL). After completing a residency in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center (New York, NY), he began working as a hospitalist before going into primary care in Westchester, NY. In 2001 he became the Director of Clinical Affairs for Imaging For Life/Imaging Heart in NYC where he helped pioneer non-invasive coronary angiography. In 2010 he helped launch The Farber Center for Radiation Oncology in NYC and implemented his Healthy Lifestylesprogram to help cancer patients understand and incorporate wellness into their everyday lives.
He was the house doctor for the New York City Opera and the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center and as a certified group exercise instructor/personal trainer, he taught step, aerobics and dance at Equinox Fitness Centers in NYC.
In addition to his extensive medical practice, Dr. Jackowitz has a robust career as a theater producer and has relocated to Maui to work on a new musical, The Hawaiian Goddess, about Pele and her sister, Hi’iaka.
Dr. Jackowitz works at both the Lahaina and Kahului locations.
Dr. Lorrie Klein
Dr. Klein has won several awards and has published several articles in medical journals. She has lectured to other physicians at medical conferences and at numerous community and civic organizations.
Certified Physician Assistant
Cameron spent 3 years working Working as an Emergency Medical Technician on ambulances while completing undergraduate studies at Butler University. He went on to complete his MS in the Physician Assistant Program at Butler University in Indianapolis and became nationally certified to practice medicine by the AAPA. He then worked in an emergency department in Northern Michigan before joining the team at Minit Medical. Cameron is an avid kiteboarder and watersports enthusiast outside of the office.
Certified Physician Assistant
Heidi Sarkozy is a board certified PA with over eight years of experience in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery. Her undergraduate training was in Human Evolution and Anthropology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and her graduate training in Physician Assistant Studies was completed at Long Island University in New York City. She began her PA career at Boston University Medical Center in 2007, where she treated a diverse population of patients ranging from cancer and trauma reconstruction to Botox injections. After four years in Boston, Heidi moved to California to work at the prestigious Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills with some of the top Plastic and Hand surgeons in the country.
Heidi has always put emphasis on preserving a natural-looking appearance and enhancing the beauty that resides in everyone, creating a refreshed and younger appearance without looking like you’ve had any work done. The combination of her expertise in anatomy, artistic eye, and highly skilled hands create beautiful outcomes and minimal discomfort for her patients. In addition to managing and treating patients, Heidi has been involved with training medical students and residents, research studies and volunteering her time and expertise providing pro-bono surgery and care for children all over the world who did not otherwise have access with Mending Kids International organization. Her hobbies include surfing, diving and hiking.
Certified Nurse Practitioner
Erin began her healthcare career as a Certified Nurse Assistant while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Maine. After receiving her degree in Nursing with a Holistic Health minor she worked as an Intensive Care Unit nurse for three years at major medical centers in North Dakota and Oregon. She moved back to Maine and worked as an Emergency Room nurse while completing her Master’s Degree. She then became certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Once certified she worked as a Nurse Practitioner at Maine Medical Center, Maine’s largest hospital. Moving to Maui was a dream for years and with the opportunity to join the Minit Medical team, that dream finally came true. Erin is passionate about excellent patient care, healthy living and life long learning.
Her first advanced degree was in Photography; an interest that has remained a favorite past time. In her free time Erin loves to travel, hike, practice yoga, discover and create delicious food. Her latest endeavor is learning to surf.

Dr. Onishi was born and raised in Hawaii, practicing on Maui since 2000, and a practicing member of the Kihei Wailea Medical Center from 2001 – Sept 2012. Dr. Onishi left the establishment to start her own practice Oct 1st, 2012. She received her medical degree in 1996 after graduating from The University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, she then went on to complete a 3 year internship and residency program in family practice in Pennsylvania at the Penn State Family Practice program/Hershey Medical Center. After graduation she returned to Maui to practice.
Dr. Onishi enjoys the breadth of Family Medicine. Her emphasis is on Women’s Health and Geriatric Medicine.
Her hobbies include shoreline fishing, hiking, collecting vintage miniature books, cross-stitching and travel. She has three grown sons, 2 live on Oahu, and one lives in Japan.
Certified Nurse Practitioner
Naomi Tamparong received her undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Naomi was then commissioned in the US Navy and served as a nurse in Obstetrics, the Emergency Department, Family Practice and Oral Surgery. During her time on Active Duty, Naomi was able to obtain her Master’s Degree from Indiana State University. She then became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Once Naomi completed her Active Duty service, she practiced as a Family Nurse Practitioner in Family Practice, Immediate Care and Orthopedic Surgery. Naomi has assisted in multiple surgical procedures, including total knee and hip arthroplasties, knee and shoulder arthroscopies, open reduction internal fixations of multiple fracture types, and minor surgical procedures. She is also experienced with various joint injections and sports injuries. Naomi is very excited to be a member of the Minit Medical Team.
Naomi loves spending her free time with her family at the beach, hiking, or soaking up the sun. Naomi enjoys running and participating in various races.
