What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers help reduce fine lines that can appear as you age and restore fullness to certain areas, like your face. These fillers are also called or advertised as injectables or soft tissue fillers. Previously there were only a few choices available on the market, but today there are quite a variety of new generation dermal fillers that fit the different needs of different people. They allow people to choose how much thickness and fullness they want and can chose how long they last before they are absorbed into the body. Dermal fillers have been proven to:
- In some cases, provide a little lift.
- Restore volume and fullness to the cheeks
- Smooth out the lines around the nose and mouth.
Do you live in Kahului, HI or Lahaina, HI and can say yes to any of the following statements?
- I would like to restore the volume to my face.
- My mouth kind of turns down when it is resting.
- I’ve noticed lines and wrinkles on my face, especially around my mouth.
If so, you should visit one of our medical clinics today and discuss dermal fillers one on one with our board-certified doctors. They’ll go over all of the information with you, so you can make the best decision on whether this procedure is right for you.
If I visit Minit Medical Urgent Care for a dermal filler or injectable, what can I expect?
No matter which treatment you pick, everything is performed at our state of the art medical clinic. You will be in and out quickly, and treatments last for months. They are considered to be very safe, although you should definitely consult with your doctor about any allergies you may have. Many people chose dermal fillers because they see immediate results in many cases. Many fillers will stimulate collagen already in your skin, extending the results for additional months. Is there any downtime? Not at all. You can go about your everyday activities almost as soon as you leave our clinic.
Can I just come in and get a dermal filler or do I need a consultation?
Dermal fillers are not like taking some cold medicine. You need a one on one consultation with our experienced professionals. To customize a treatment plan, we need to know your specific goals, needs, and medical history. We want the results of any treatment to meet or exceed your goals. Talking with us allows us to give you a more natural, refreshed look that makes you, the new you without making it look artificial. Rushing a treatment plan is a sure-fire way to be very disappointed.
During the consultation, our doctor will:
- Review your medical history.
- Evaluate your skin condition to determine which treatments, if any, could be helpful.
- Review benefits and risks of treatment.
- Review the costs of treatment.
- Answer any questions you may have.
Minit Medical does not charge a fee for a consultation, so why not visit our facility and get more information? We also offer a variety of other services and would be more than happy to show you what we do at our clinic. We consider it a successful day if someone leaves more informed about their health and what we do at our facility.
Is this covered by my health insurance?
Unfortunately, dermal fillers are not covered by health insurance. Treatments are considered to be an elective cosmetic service. We do have payment plans available and can certainly assist you with researching various financing options.
We look forward to meeting you at Minit Medical at either our Kahului, HI, Lahaina, HI & Kihei, HI locations. Feel free to call our friendly staff if you have any questions!
